[Saba Sports News]After the recent J-League match of Vissel Kobe, the
team’s foreign player and Spanish star, Andrés Iniesta, received a surprising
gift during a media interview. It was a signed jersey of English football
legend Paul Scholes. Upon receiving the jersey, Iniesta expressed his surprise
and gratitude. Iniesta said, “I am very grateful to my friends for giving
me a signed jersey by Scholes, whom I have always admired.” Scholes,
during his playing career, exclusively played for Manchester United in the
English Premier League, participating in 718 matches, ranking third in the
club’s history in terms of appearances. He helped Manchester United win 29
championship titles, including 11 English Premier League titles and 2 UEFA
Champions League titles. Scholes retired in May 2013 and subsequently embarked
on a coaching career, having managed several English League Two clubs.
