[Saba Sports News] Recently, Cao Ji, the former
coach of Chinese badminton world champion Huang Yaqiong, has publicly demanded
bonuses and criticized the relevant departments for withholding his rightful
compensation. However, the local media has remained silent on the issue, while
self-media platforms have been promoting Cao Ji’s fight for justice. Frustrated
by the lack of response, Cao Ji has made further revelations, escalating the
scandal within China’s badminton world. Cao Ji released a recording in which
the parents of another badminton player expressed their grievances. According to
the parent, despite their daughter being a promising talent, the Zhejiang team
did not want her. When the child was sent to the Bayi Team, the Zhejiang Team
claimed that the child had a Zhejiang household registration, preventing her
from joining the Bayi Team. As a result, the player had no choice but to pursue
development opportunities abroad. Cao Ji stated that, in order to make an
impact, he would forego receiving bonuses and instead seek justice for coaches
and athletes outside the established system. He argued that the current funding
structure restricts the inclusion of talented coaches and athletes outside the
existing system. Some fans expressed their concern, stating that if the
badminton team cannot accommodate talented individuals, more potential will be
lost in the future.
