[Saba Sports News] According to
recent reports, the Mayor of Milan, Italy, Mayor Sala, expressed disappointment
in an interview regarding both Inter and AC Milan’s plans to move from the San
Siro stadium. Mayor Sala had hoped that both clubs would continue to use the
San Siro as their home ground. In response to this situation, Mayor Sala
proposed selling the San Siro stadium to the two clubs. The idea behind the
proposal is to find a solution that allows the clubs to include stadium income
in their financial reports. Mayor Sala suggested that the stadium could be sold
permanently or that ownership could be transferred while retaining land ownership.
This would provide the clubs with immediate access to the revenue generated by
the stadium. However, there are indications that Milan is no longer interested
in waiting for a potential agreement. The club’s leadership has reportedly
decided to construct a new stadium exclusively for AC Milan. The planned
stadium is expected to have a capacity of 70,000 spectators and will prioritize
sustainability. Additionally, there is a desire to create a company dedicated
to building new stadiums, not only for AC Milan but also for other Serie A
teams.
