[Saba Sports News] Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane has finally come back among the runs, leading his side’s charge in the second innings of the Ranji Trophy 2024 final versus Vidarbha.
Arriving at the crease with Mumbai reeling at 34/2, Rahane was under tremendous pressure to deliver the goods, more so because of his poor run leading up to the summit clash.
However, as it panned out, it seemed he had saved his best for the last. Along with Musheer Khan, Rahane started the rebuilding job, steering Mumbai back to a great position with their century-stand.
The veteran batter notched up a fifty, his second of the season, and remained unbeaten till the end of Day 2.
Musheer too finished undefeated at 51 runs as Mumbai did not lose another wicket in the day’s play and extended their lead to 260 runs.
