[Saba Sports News] The 2024 F1 Chinese Grand Prix is scheduled to take
place at the Shanghai International Circuit from April 19th to 21st. With Zhou
Guanyu participating as an F1 driver for the first time on home soil, the
Chinese Grand Prix has garnered unprecedented popularity. To enhance the F1
experience for fans, a community in Anting Town, Jiading District, where the
Shanghai International Circuit is located, has recently acquired a set of F1
driving simulation cockpits that provide a 1:1 replica of the F1 racing driving
experience. Fans can enjoy this experience for free. The simulated cockpit
measures 2.4 meters in length and 1.4 meters in width, constructed entirely
from fiberglass. During the “driving” session, the steering wheel
provides a realistic vibration effect. Participants can choose from six different
scenes and two experience modes, including the Shanghai Circuit and Mexico
Circuit. By wearing VR glasses, the experience becomes even more immersive,
creating a sense of racing on the Shanghai Circuit. Professional team drivers
regularly employ simulated cockpits for track training, as it is a routine part
of their preparation. While the simulated cockpit may resemble an esports game,
it accurately replicates the track environment, vehicle, and driver conditions,
displaying various parameters and performance data. This allows drivers to
improve their skills and explore new possibilities.
