[Saba Sports News] The mood in the Gujarat Titans camp is upbeat as they prepare for their upcoming game against Punjab Kings in the 17th match of IPL 2024, set to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on April 4.
The atmosphere was lively on the eve of the match, with players sharing their favorite Punjabi songs in anticipation of their clash with the Punjab-based team, a moment shared by GT on social media. Favorites among the team included songs like “Arjan Vailly,” “Wishes,” and “King Sh*t,” chosen by Rashid Khan, Jayant Yadav, and Rahul Tewatia respectively.
Head coach Ashish Nehra was particularly animated, engaging with the team in a playful manner and sharing his pick, “295” by the late Sidhu Moosewala, as his favorite Punjabi track, emphasizing its status as the best Punjabi song.
Despite a lower net run rate than PBKS, Gujarat Titans are ahead on the points table, ranking fifth while Punjab Kings are in seventh place. After a tough loss to Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat bounced back with a win over Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In their history since GT joined the IPL in 2022, GT and PBKS have faced each other three times, with GT winning twice. Their last encounter in 2023 saw GT winning by six wickets.
