[Saba Sports News] Recently, four-time F1 champion Sebastian Vettel
hinted in an interview that he is contemplating a return to Formula 1. He
revealed that he had conversations with Mercedes team Principal Toto Wolff and
had been in contact with other team principals as well. With Lewis Hamilton’s
announcement of joining Ferrari in 2025, Mercedes is actively seeking a
replacement, and Vettel has emerged as a potential candidate for the German
team. Vettel mentioned that the possibility of his return in 2025 depends on
various factors. Since his retirement from F1, he has not returned to the
racing track, but he acknowledged that one can never predict what the future
holds or where life may lead, and perhaps it may bring him back behind the
wheel. To gather more information, he would need to engage in further
discussions. However, one thing he affirmed is that Mercedes is currently the
top team in Formula 1, given their exceptional track record in terms of
performance. Despite facing challenges and struggles in recent years, Mercedes
remains one of the top three teams in the championship. Some fans have
speculated that, similar to his idol Michael Schumacher, who joined the
Mercedes team upon his return to F1, Vettel might also follow suit.
