[Saba Sports News] In a recent interview with GQ
magazine, Lewis Hamilton expressed regret for turning down a role in the movie
“Top Gun: Maverick” starring Tom Cruise. Hamilton revealed that if
given another chance, he would even be willing to portray a cleaner in a film.
It was revealed that director Joseph Kosinski approached Tom Cruise to persuade
Hamilton to star in the sequel to “Top Gun” before filming commenced
in 2022. However, due to conflicts in his work schedule, the British racing
star declined the offers from Cruise and Kosinski. Hamilton now seeks to make
amends by collaborating with Joseph Kosinski on a Formula One movie featuring
Brad Pitt. Although Hamilton has never received acting training and lacks the
time to invest in studying acting, he doesn’t want to be the person who
disappoints the production. Nonetheless, he is excited to provide advice about
Formula One, sharing insights into the true essence of racing and what aspects
would appeal to viewers as a racing enthusiast.
