[Saba Sports News] Tushar Deshpande, Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) emerging star bowler, has married Nabha Gaddamwar in a beautiful ceremony. Their engagement, which started as a high school romance, was celebrated earlier this year in Mumbai after the IPL season. Deshpande shared their wedding photo on Instagram.
Deshpande gained prominence in the 2023 Indian Premier League, becoming CSK’s top bowler with 21 wickets in 16 games, including a crucial role in their win against Gujarat Titans in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. His performance ranked him sixth in the tournament’s overall wicket-takers.
In related news, CSK’s opener Ruturaj Gaikwad withdrew from the Indian team’s ICC World Test Championship final to marry Utkarsha Pawar, a skilled all-rounder. Gaikwad, prioritizing his wedding, informed the BCCI of his decision.
Reflecting on his cricket journey, Deshpande credits former CSK captain MS Dhoni’s mentorship, likening their relationship to a soldier following his commander. He admires Dhoni’s simplicity and support, stating that Dhoni’s plans are clear and helpful. Deshpande’s record includes 80 wickets in 29 first-class games, 35 in 34 List A matches, and 83 in 59 T20Is, highlighting his versatility and skill.
“You know you have someone who will guide and show the light when things are not going in our favour. He is a selfless guy and keeps things simple. He doesn’t complicate things and will be with you in your bad times. Like a soldier, I will just follow whatever he says. I know he can never take me on a wrong path,” Deshpande shared. “Dhoni plans are very clear that this is what you need to do and then one has to execute. He will give freedom as well and when needed he will put a word. He told me that I have everything to play at the top, just be calm, take a deep breath.”
