[Saba Sports News] Fans who closely follow F1 events are well aware of the significant financial investment required for F1 teams. Many fans are curious as to why Red Bull maintains two teams in such a financially demanding sport. Recently, some media outlets published an article analyzing the reasons behind this decision. Firstly, Toro Rosso, also known as the Red Bull Youth Team, serves as a talent supplier to the Red Bull First Team. Not only does it provide a platform to train new drivers, but it also offers valuable data and tactical sharing. One notable example is champion driver Max Verstappen, who emerged from the Red Bull youth program. He made his debut in the F1 Grand Prix representing Toro Rosso in 2015 before being promoted to the Red Bull Racing team in 2016. Secondly, as the world’s largest energy drink company, Red Bull possesses the financial resources to sustain both teams. Lastly, the decision is influenced by the regulations of the F1 race. F1 rules stipulate that each team must use the same engine. Red Bull Racing’s cars are powered by engines supplied by the French company Renault. However, in 2010, Renault introduced a new engine. Due to regulatory restrictions at that time, Red Bull Racing was only allowed to use the older engine, gradually losing competitiveness. To address this issue, Red Bull Racing decided to activate two teams in 2010, enabling Red Bull Team One to utilize the new engines.
