[Saba Sports News] Ayodhya is gearing up for the highly anticipated consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on January 22, 2024. This landmark event boasts a guest list featuring prominent figures from various sectors.
The Ram Mandir Trust has sent out invitations to notable personalities, including cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, and actors Amitabh Bachchan, Arun Govil, and Dipika Chikhlia. The ceremony is set to host over 7,000 guests, encompassing 3,000 VIPs and relatives of karsevaks who lost their lives during the temple movement. Additionally, delegates from 50 countries are expected to attend.
Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, stated, “We aim to have a representative from each of 50 countries. We’ve also invited families of 50 karsevaks. Judges, scientists, writers, poets are among the invitees.” The ceremony will also welcome a diverse group of saints, priests, Shankaracharyas, ex-civil servants, retired army officers, lawyers, musicians, Padma awardees, and journalists who significantly contributed through their reporting.
VVIPs will be admitted using barcode passes. “The event will also honor saints, priests, Shankaracharyas, former officials, army officers, lawyers, musicians, and Padma awardees,” added Rai.
The ceremony will feature the consecration of Ram Lalla as a five-year-old boy, with three idols nearing completion. Stones from Karnataka and Rajasthan have been used for two of the idols. The event, symbolizing unity and cultural heritage, includes an invitation letter that reflects on the long struggle leading up to the temple’s construction.
The letter reads, “After a long struggle, the temple construction at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi is underway. On January 22, 2024, the new idol of Ram Lalla will be consecrated. We strongly desire your presence to witness this momentous occasion and add to the historical significance of the day.”
