[Saba Sports News] The FIA has initiated an official investigation
into the Mercedes boss leak scandal. In April of this year, F1 introduced the
F1 Academy, an event exclusively for female drivers. Susie Stoddart, also known
as Susie Wolff, was appointed as the CEO of the academy. She is the wife of
Mercedes executive and principal, Toto Wolff. Recent reports from
“Business F1” magazine have alleged that Susie leaked confidential
information to her husband, who then potentially utilized this privileged knowledge.
As the general manager of the all-female F1 series, Susie directly reports to
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. Team principals have raised concerns regarding
Wolff’s potential access to confidential Formula One information that rival
team bosses may not possess. On the evening of December 5th, the FIA officially
announced an investigation into a potential conflict of interest among its
members. While the FIA document did not explicitly mention the individuals
involved, all media attention has been directed towards Wolff and Susie. It is
evident that this incident has had implications for both Susie and Wolff’s
careers.
