[Saba Sports News] Before the start of the first T20I match against Australia, Indian cricketers Washington Sundar and Tilak Verma paid a visit to the Simhachalam Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Visakhapatnam. This visit came as India prepared for the five-match T20I series following their recent loss in the ODI World Cup final against Australia.
During their visit on Thursday, Sundar and Verma participated in a special ritual at the temple. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav is set to lead the Indian team in this series, stepping in for the absent Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. Suryakumar emphasized the importance of team goals over personal milestones and encouraged the team to be fearless and selfless on the field, keeping the upcoming T20 World Cup in mind.
The series also marks the return of Axar Patel to the Indian squad since his last appearance at the Asia Cup. He was initially in the World Cup squad but couldn’t recover in time. The Indian squad for the series includes a mix of experienced players and new talents, such as Ruturaj Gaikwad (Vice-captain), Ishan Kishan, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Shivam Dubey, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan, and Mukesh Kumar.
