[Saba Sports News] Despite being an accomplished
volleyball player, Meena Sharma recognised her daughter Tanvi Sharma’s passion
for badminton and her dream of becoming a world champion. To help Tanvi realise
her aspirations, Meena made the sacrifice of giving up her own volleyball
career. She enrolled in a badminton coaching course and began guiding and
training her daughter. Recently, Tanvi achieved her first victory in the
women’s singles event at the 30th Smt Krishna Khaitan Memorial All India Youth
Ranking Prize Money Tournament organised by Express Shuttle Club Trust. After
the win, Meena humbly advised her daughter not to become complacent and
instructed her on how to create better hitting angles. Tanvi, under her
mother’s dedicated guidance, emerged victorious in the Bhubhneswar U-15 and
U-17 national championships last year. This year, her goal is to become the
U-19 champion. In the editor’s perspective, Meena’s actions exemplify her
greatness as a mother. She selflessly set aside her own career and dreams,
started from scratch, and acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to
support her daughter. This is an act of selflessness and unconditional love.
