[Saba Sports News] Zach LaVine’s tenure with the Chicago Bulls might be nearing its end. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, there’s growing receptiveness from both LaVine and the Bulls organization to consider a trade. This development has led to increased interest from other teams inquiring about LaVine’s availability.
The Bulls have had a disappointing start to the season, with a 4-7 record, placing them 12th in the competitive Eastern Conference. This follows a season where they finished below .500 and were eliminated in the play-in tournament, signaling rising frustration within the team.
LaVine, 28, a multiple-time All-Star, leads the team with an average of 21.9 points per game this season, below his career average of 24.5 points per game with the Bulls. His exceptional talent, particularly in athleticism and playmaking, combined with his scoring ability, makes him a key asset for the Bulls. He is in the second year of a five-year, $215 million contract that includes a player option for 2026-27 and a 15 percent trade kicker.
With the Bulls mired in mediocrity for yet another season, a major roster overhaul might be imminent. Besides LaVine, another significant player from the Bulls roster has also recently emerged as a potential trade subject.
