[Saba Sports News] The cricket world is abuzz with anticipation for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final, scheduled for Sunday, November 19, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where India and Australia will compete for the prestigious title.
Adding to the grandeur, the Surya Kiran aerobatic team of the Indian Air Force is set to perform a special air show before the final. The ICC shared glimpses of their rehearsals on their WhatsApp channel.
The Defence PRO for Gujarat announced the ten-minute performance by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team, aimed at inspiring patriotism as India seeks to add another chapter to its cricketing history. Rehearsals are planned for November 17 and 18.
Australia reached their eighth ODI World Cup final by defeating South Africa in the semi-final at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. South Africa set a target of 213, with a century from David Miller, but Australia chased it down with Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc’s partnership.
India, on the other hand, secured their final spot by beating New Zealand at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, marking their fourth ODI World Cup final appearance after 1983, 2003, and 2011. This match will be a rematch of the 2003 final where Australia won, giving India a chance for redemption after 20 years.
