[Saba Sports News] In last week’s UEFA Champions League group stage match between AC
Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan fans threw a lot of fake money at their
former player, Gianluigi Donnarumma. These fake banknotes were pre-made by AC
Milan fan organisations, featuring Donnarumma’s face and a denomination of 71
euros. In some regions of Italy, the number 71 is associated with derogatory
terms like “jerk” or “crap.” After the match, some AC Milan
fans collected these fake banknotes at the stadium and started selling them
online. According to reports, the fans have different asking prices for the
fake money. Some priced them at 1 euro per note but required a minimum purchase
of 20 notes, while others asked for 3.5 euros per note or 50-60 euros for a
bundle of 15 notes. The highest price listed was 350 euros per note, with
shipping costs reaching as high as 368.2 euros.
