[Saba Sports News] Lucknow Super Giants’ bowling coach Morne Morkel announced that Mayank Yadav, the team’s speedster, has cleared all fitness tests and is set to participate in the upcoming IPL 2024 match against Mumbai Indians. This Match 48 will take place at Ekana Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, April 29. Yadav had previously experienced soreness in his lower abdomen during a game against Gujarat Titans but has since recovered.
“Mayank Yadav has passed all the fitness tests and is among the probable players for the match against Mumbai Indians. He’s looking good and ready to bowl,” Morkel stated during the pre-match press conference.
Yadav, who has taken six wickets in three IPL games this season, including three each against PBKS and RCB, had to leave the field after just one over in the match against Gujarat Titans due to his discomfort, after conceding 13 runs.
He was also seen bowling in the evening practice session at Ekana Cricket Stadium. The Lucknow Super Giants are scheduled to play against Mumbai Indians there on Tuesday.
