[Saba Sports News] Star India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan celebrated his 26th birthday by visiting the Shree Samadhi Mandir in Shirdi, Maharashtra, seeking blessings from Sai Baba. He shared pictures of the visit on social media.
It’s been a rollercoaster year for Kishan. Despite a sporadic spot on the Indian team, he remains one of the top T20I batters, holding the record for the fastest double ton in ODIs.
However, Kishan was recently excluded from the BCCI central contracts alongside Shreyas Iyer for skipping Ranji Trophy matches, despite not being selected for India.
His lack of participation in first-class cricket led to reprimands, and he requested a break due to mental fatigue. Kishan’s last appearance for India was in the T20I series against Australia in November, where he scored a fifty.
In the IPL, he scored 320 runs in 14 matches at an average of 22.86 and a strike rate of 148.84. Kishan hopes for redemption when he next plays for India and Mumbai Indians.
Many former and current stars, including Yuvraj Singh, wished him a happy birthday on social media. Kishan was also recently seen at the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, with several pictures going viral.
