[Saba Sports News] Few things evoke a profound sense of pride like the recognition of the armed forces. Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal experienced this during his visit to the Dogra Regiment’s Special Forces in Uttar Pradesh on August 9.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Chahal shared a series of photos, including presenting a framed T20 World Cup 2024-winning jersey to a chief, posing with officers, and taking a group photo with the commandos.
He expressed deep honor and pride in spending time with such a distinguished group dedicated to serving the nation.
While it’s rare for cricketers to have such interactions, some, like Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni, have been associated with the military.
As for Chahal’s cricket career, he’s been out of the spotlight for a while. Despite being named in the 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, he didn’t play any matches and was left out of the following Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka tours.
Chahal is likely to intensify his training to reclaim his place in the Indian team.
