[Saba Sports News] Star Indian batter Smriti Mandhana recently shared photos from her vacation with her brother Shravan, describing the trip as unforgettable. In her post, she talked about the memorable experiences, including all the walking she did.
Seeing this, her teammate Jemimah Rodrigues couldn’t resist teasing her, commenting, “Wait, did you just say you WALKED?!!”
As the new WBBL (Women’s Big Bash League) season approaches, Indian players are in high demand. Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma, and Jemimah Rodrigues have all been picked up, with Mandhana joining Adelaide Strikers, Deepti Sharma signed by Melbourne Stars, and Rodrigues picked by Brisbane Heat. Shikha Pandey was also selected by the Strikers in the second round.
However, not everyone made the cut. Harmanpreet Kaur, Shreyanka Patil, and Radha Yadav were among the 13 players left out of the drafts. Yastika Bhatia will be making her WBBL debut with Melbourne Stars.
The WBBL kicks off on October 27 in Adelaide with a match between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat.
