[Saba Sports News] Following his national selection, there’s been plenty of buzz around the tearaway quick’s upcoming debut in Gwalior.
Recently, the Lucknow Super Giants’ official account on X shared a screenshot of Google’s roster listing for LSG, humorously highlighting Mayank Yadav’s name labeled as a “right-arm medium fast bowler.”
The post playfully poked fun at the search giant for downplaying Yadav’s fierce speed. A meme accompanied the screenshot, showing a mock-annoyed Mayank replacing the original person in a well-known reference.
Known for his rapid pace, Mayank consistently hit 150 kph in IPL 2024, peaking at 156.7 kph against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, and earning Player of the Match awards in his first two IPL games.
Delhi-born Yadav made his IPL debut for the Lucknow Super Giants in 2024 but managed only four games due to a lower abdominal strain that ended his tournament.
After months of recovery, he returned to training at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and recently received his maiden call-up to the Indian T20I squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh.
