[Saba Sports News] Indian cricket fans were delighted to see their Test stars in action, as captain Rohit Sharma, dynamic keeper-batter Rishabh Pant, and the ever-dependable Virat Kohli hit the nets, gearing up for the much-anticipated three-match Test series against New Zealand.
The trio was joined by none other than former India captain and recently departed head coach Rahul Dravid, who concluded his coaching stint on a high note after India’s triumphant T20 World Cup win in Barbados back in June.
In a video that quickly made rounds on social media, Dravid was captured engaging in lively conversation with Rohit, Pant, and Kohli. The footage showcased the camaraderie among these cricketing greats, with smiles, laughter, and lighthearted moments clearly visible, reflecting the deep bonds they share.
This sight was a treat for fans, especially as Rohit and Kohli have retired from T20I duties, focusing more on the Test format, while Pant took a short break from the recent Bangladesh T20I series to prepare for the rigorous upcoming matches.
The series against New Zealand kicks off on October 16 in Bengaluru, a venue known for its passionate cricket supporters. The action then moves to Pune for the second Test starting on October 24, before concluding in Mumbai on November 1.
India’s performance in this series holds significant importance, as a clean sweep would bring them one step closer to securing a place in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, set for 2025.
With New Zealand being a formidable opponent, the Indian team, led by Rohit, will be eager to put on a stellar show and continue their winning momentum.
