[Saba Sports News] The WPL 2024 auction took place on Saturday, December 9 in Mumbai. All the teams bolstered their squads with a total of 30 slots, making it an 18-player continent for the upcoming season, scheduled in February-March.
Kashvee Gautam and Annabel Sutherland were the most expensive players as Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals roped them in for INR 2 crore respectively. Kashvee also became the highest bidded uncapped player in the WPL history.
Shabnim Ismail was bought up Mumbai Indians by INR 1.2 crore.
Chamari Athapaththu, Deandra Dottin, Kim Garth and Amanda-Jade Wellington attracted not even a single bid.
