[Saba Sports News] During the Lakers-Grizzlies game at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Tuesday, tensions escalated. Anthony Davis, the Lakers’ star, netted a shot, advancing the Lakers to a 20-16 lead shortly before the first quarter’s five-minute mark. Post-scoring, Davis became entangled with Grizzlies’ Santi Aldama, shoving him forcefully to the floor. This act prompted Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane to approach Davis, leading to a verbal confrontation between the two. Teammates intervened to de-escalate the situation.
Both Davis and Aldama, along with Bane, Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell, and Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins, received technical fouls due to the altercation. This incident was the second significant confrontation of the NBA in-season tournament’s third day.
In a separate incident, Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green was ejected after a clash with the Timberwolves, where he put Rudy Gobert in a chokehold during an attempt to calm a dispute between Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels.
