[Saba Sports News] In a recent media interview, Didier
Deschamps, the current coach of the French national team, shared some
noteworthy insights about his future plans. He disclosed that if he were to
step down as the national team coach in the future, he would not choose
retirement but rather consider coaching a club. However, he emphasised that he
is not actively contemplating this matter at the moment. Deschamps acknowledged
that the position of the French national team coach is highly coveted due to
the team’s aspirations of winning major championships such as the European
Championship and the World Cup. Deschamps took charge of the French national
team in July 2012 and has been leading them to notable achievements, including
finishing as the runner-up in the European Championship and securing the World
Cup championship.
