[Saba Sports News] The gambling scandal in Italian
football continues to unfold. Nicolo Fagioli, a player from Serie A club
Juventus, has been suspended due to his involvement in gambling activities.
During the court proceedings, Fagioli mentioned that he had borrowed money from
Genoa player Dragusin, leading to speculation about Dragusin’s potential
involvement in the scandal. However, Dragusin’s lawyer clarified the situation
in a media interview, stating that Dragusin did lend money to Fagioli. The loan
was intended for Fagioli to purchase a watch, so the funds were not used for
gambling purposes. Dragusin claims to have had no knowledge of Fagioli’s
gambling activities.
