[Saba Sports News] The Houston Rockets are currently on a scorching ten-game winning streak, resurrecting their season from what seemed like the brink of collapse in March. Despite their earlier struggles, they’ve surged back into contention for the Western Conference play-in spots, trailing the Golden State Warriors by just one game.
Following their recent victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Rockets forward Tari Eason took to Instagram to taunt the Warriors with a playful jab, echoing the iconic movie line, “Warriors, come out to play!”
In response, Warriors star Draymond Green addressed Eason’s trash talk on his podcast, poking fun at the fact that Eason hasn’t played in months due to injury.
“It’s kind of tough to come out yelling, ‘Come out and play,’ and you’re not gonna play,” Green remarked, highlighting the strain it puts on the team when a player can’t contribute on the court.
Eason, who made solid contributions earlier in the season before his injury, has been sidelined since January with a lower leg injury. Despite his absence, his vocal presence on social media seems to be his way of staying engaged with the team.
This isn’t the first time Eason has engaged in social media banter, as he targeted another opponent earlier this month.
