[Saba Sports News] Every child who follows or plays cricket dreams of meeting their cricketing idol, even if only briefly. On the opposite end of this spectrum is Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary, a passionate cricket enthusiast from Muzaffarpur, India.
For those unfamiliar with his name, you would undoubtedly recognize him from live television broadcasts or from his presence at matches wherever the Indian cricket team competes. Renowned for his unwavering support of the Indian cricket team, he travels extensively, often relying on public funding for international tours, embodying a dream cherished by billions of Indians multiple times over.
Following India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup 2024 in the Americas, a collage surfaced featuring Sudhir. Known for painting his body in the Indian tricolor before matches and foregoing sleep to preserve the paint, Chaudhary once captured a photo with Sachin Tendulkar holding the trophy in 2011 after India’s World Cup win.
Thirteen years later, on a beach in Barbados, Sudhir again grasped the trophy with a beaming smile and posed with Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Chaudhary’s life, marked by struggles, underscores the value of steadfastly pursuing one’s dreams. He developed an intense passion for Indian cricket and became a fervent admirer of Tendulkar at age 6. By 14, he discontinued his studies and faced unemployment after working at a dairy company and training as a teacher.
He once threatened self-immolation if he wasn’t guaranteed access to watch all Indian cricket matches. Publicly stating his life is devoted to following Indian cricket, he relies on public support to sustain his endeavors.
