Sports News] In a recent interview with the media, former F1 legendary driver
Andretti shared his thoughts on Lewis Hamilton, the Mercedes-Benz driver who
will be leaving the team at the end of the season. Andretti believes that even
if Hamilton were to transfer to Ferrari, it would be challenging for him to
conceal the truth of his declining performance. Andretti stated, “Hamilton
has been struggling this season. He hasn’t finished higher than seventh in a
race and has failed to qualify in the three races that have taken place. He has
lost all the matches against his teammate Russell, and he has been unable to
regain his former glory.” The editor agrees with Andretti’s assessment
that Hamilton’s performance this season has not lived up to expectations.
Despite the significant optimization of the new Mercedes-Benz W15 racing car
compared to last season, Hamilton has been unable to showcase his true
potential. However, there is still a significant portion of the season
remaining, and it is hoped that Hamilton can make a comeback. Hamilton, the
first and only black driver in the history of F1, has won the F1 Drivers’ World
Championship seven times. He was knighted by the Queen of England on December
31, 2020, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest drivers in the history
of F1.
