[Saba Sports News] During the 2024 F1 pre-season
test race, all the new cars of each team were unveiled. After closely observing
the cars on the track, Gary Anderson, a former F1 technical director, expressed
his opinions on each team’s new car to the media. According to Anderson, Red
Bull’s new car is exceptionally strong in cornering speed and appears
unbeatable. Mercedes’ new car, although slightly unstable, deserves recognition
for its speed when carrying high fuel loads. From a technical standpoint,
Ferrari’s new car failed to impress Anderson. McLaren’s new car has an
advantage in terms of corner exits and may perform well as a pursuer behind the
Red Bull car. Aston Martin’s new car has made improvements in speed, traction,
and understeer, showing great potential. Alpine’s new car seems to lack
downforce. Williams’ new car underwent significant changes, but it doesn’t give
the impression of a car with a continuous improvement plan. Toro Rosso’s new
car exhibits reasonable grip when cornering. Sauber’s new car is relatively
agile in corners and demonstrates good responsiveness when the driver’s inputs
are executed correctly. Haas’ new car appears to be solid, and Anderson hasn’t
noticed any drawbacks so far. Some fans have commented that, in Anderson’s
opinion, only radical designs are considered good cars, and he views
conservative designs like the Ferrari SF-24 as bad cars.
