[Saba Sports News] German media outlet AMS has
reported that Red Bull team leader Christian Horner is attempting to
marginalize dissidents and remove senior adviser Helmut Marko with the
assistance of Thai majority shareholder Chalerm Yoovidhya, PhD. Following the
leak of Horner’s case to the media, Red Bull initiated an internal
investigation into Marko. While this move may pose a risk of losing
championship driver Max Verstappen, Horner remains confident that his team can
still achieve victory even without Verstappen, Newey, and future partner Ford.
Prior to the Saudi Grand Prix, Marko stated in an interview with the media that
this year’s race in Saudi Arabia may be his final stop, prompting Horner to
threaten him with suspension. Horner’s alleged “justification” was
Marko’s supposed disclosure of Honda’s letter to ORF. Additionally, Horner
seemed to accuse Marko of being involved in the internal dissemination of employee
complaints. Red Bull Managing Director Oliver Mintzlaff could also become a
target for Horner, who aims to become the sole leader of all Red Bull racing
activities. Some fans suggest that with the support of Xu Shuen, the majority
shareholder owning 51% of Red Bull shares, Horner could eliminate all of his
competitors.
