[Saba Sports News] On December 29, 2013, F1 champion Michael Schumacher suffered a skiing accident at a resort in the French Alps. Due to losing control of speed and balance, Schumacher’s head struck a rock, causing him to fall into a coma immediately. He was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. The accident resulted in a severe brain injury, putting Schumacher’s life at risk. To allow his brain sufficient time to heal, Schumacher was medically induced into a coma. It remains uncertain when, or if, he will awaken from this state. As of now, nearly 10 years have passed since the accident, and Schumacher remains in a coma. To provide ongoing care for Schumacher and sustain his life, his wife Corinna Schumacher has spent over 2 billion euros and sold nearly all of their family assets. This includes Schumacher’s cherished private jet, their holiday villa in Norway, and his Ferrari F2001 racing car. Despite these efforts, Corinna continues to face challenges in raising funds. Some media outlets estimate that the stem cell treatment Schumacher receives costs 115,000 pounds per week. Additionally, to ensure round-the-clock care, Corinna has employed a medical team of 15 individuals, resulting in weekly expenses of 50,000 pounds. Undoubtedly, Schumacher is fortunate to have a devoted wife willing to sacrifice everything for him.
