[Saba Sports News] Cao Ji, the first coach of
badminton world champion Huang Yaqiong, has recently been involved in a dispute
with the Hangzhou Sports Bureau. Using social media, he continuously criticized
the leaders of the Sports Bureau, asserting that they are all contributors to
the national sports cause, and coaches should be treated equally within and
outside the system. He refuses to tolerate the fraudulent claiming of bonuses
that rightfully belong to him. Data indicates that Huang Yaqiong is an
exceptional mixed doubles badminton player. Alongside her Olympic gold medal,
she has secured gold medals in nearly all significant events. As the coach who
discovered and trained her, Cao Ji deserves immense credit. However, according
to Cao Ji, he has only received two bonuses totaling US$8,300 thus far. In his
recent statement, Cao Ji emphasized that he does not necessarily require a
bonus. If the country does not offer one, he is willing to make a selfless
contribution. However, the issue lies in the fact that the country does provide
bonuses, and these bonuses have been fraudulently claimed by individuals who
have never contributed to Huang Yaqiong’s success. The Hangzhou Sports Bureau
has yet to make a public response regarding Cao Ji’s outspoken revelations.
