They took to Instagram to express their joy and happiness with the world following the birth. A couple of months ago, the power couple also celebrated a baby shower, revealing the news of Pratima’s pregnancy and their anticipation of welcoming a new addition to their family.
In their Instagram post, the couple wrote, “We’re delighted to introduce the newest member of our family, a baby girl—a world of wonder, hope, and dreams, all wrapped in pink. 💕👶❤️🧿“
Ishant Sharma, currently on a break from cricket, has been absent from professional cricket for some time. His most recent appearance was during the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, where he delivered impactful performances for the Delhi Capitals. In eight matches for the David Warner-led team, the New Delhi-born bowler took ten wickets with an economy rate of 8.24.
Regarding his international career, his last Test match for India was against New Zealand during a home series in Kanpur in November 2021, marking a 24-month hiatus from representing the country. A few months before his last match, he achieved a significant milestone by becoming the third pacer, following legends like Kapil Dev and Zaheer Khan, to claim 300 wickets in red-ball cricket.
The veteran pacer is set to represent his state team in the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 during the upcoming domestic season. His performances in the tournament will be crucial, as impressive spells may pave the way for a national comeback.
