[Saba Sports News] Golden State Warriors’ Klay Thompson expressed his displeasure over the taunts from Houston Rockets’ forward Tari Eason last week. Eason shared a video on Instagram mocking the Warriors with a quote from the 1979 film “The Warriors.
” This move seemed to fuel Golden State’s motivation, as they responded by defeating the Rockets 133-110 at the Toyota Center in Houston. Eason further taunted by wearing a shirt with the phrase, “Warriors, come out to play,” while greeting Golden State players post-game.
Thompson addressed Eason’s provocations during a postgame interview, criticizing Eason for his inability to substantiate his trash talk on the court, particularly as he didn’t play in the game due to a season-ending heel injury.
Thompson found Eason’s sideline jeers particularly unimpressive, questioning the point of such behavior when not actively participating in the game. Despite being sidelined since January 1, Eason’s attempts to rile up the Warriors were met with a powerful on-court response, highlighted by Thompson’s game-high 29 points, a personal best in almost two months.
