[Saba Sports News] LeBron James addressed rumors of his son, Bronny, considering a transfer from USC following a challenging freshman year. LeBron emphasized the family’s support for Bronny’s independence and decision-making process, stating, “I don’t know where that came from… At the end of the day, Bronny is his own man. I guess it’s a tough decision to make, and when he’s ready to make his decisions, he’ll let us all know. But as a family, we’re going to support whatever he does.”
Bronny’s debut season at USC concluded with him averaging 4.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists, with a 37.4% shooting percentage. This performance came in a disappointing season for the Trojans, who finished 15-18 and missed out on March Madness. After a season where Bronny seemed to struggle with finding his rhythm, partly due to missing preseason preparations following a cardiac arrest, LeBron suggests that a new environment might benefit Bronny.
However, whether this means transferring from USC or leaving college basketball entirely is yet to be clarified.
