Sports News] According to recent reports from Portuguese media, renowned
Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, who has officially announced his departure from
Serie A club Roma, has returned to his home country of Portugal. His trip back
home is to attend the funeral of his friend, former Basel coach Hall Jorge. It
is mentioned that Mourinho previously coached the Basel youth team and crossed
paths with Jorge, who coached the first team. Jorge achieved success by leading
Porto to victory in the 1987 Champions League. Sadly, he passed away last week
at the age of 78. During his time in Portugal, Mourinho also attended a match
where his former club Setubal emerged victorious. He took the opportunity to
sign autographs for fans in the stands. Setubal holds a special place in
Mourinho’s heart as he was born in the port city and began his coaching journey
there. In 1987, he joined the Setubal Victory youth training department,
serving as a physical coach and assistant coach. As for Mourinho’s future
plans, there is much speculation surrounding his next destination. Potential
options include joining Newcastle, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, or even a
Saudi team. However, it is also possible that he may take some time to relax,
spend time with his family, and contemplate his career.
