[Saba Sports News] According to German media
outlet “auto-motor-und-sport.de,” the Alpine team’s car has been
performing poorly in the first two races of the Formula 1 season. The car has
been the slowest among the ten teams, with an average lap time 2.11 seconds
behind the Red Bull team. French driver Esteban Ocon of the Alpine team has
revealed that he knew about the issues with the Alpine A524 car as early as
December last year. The team has been working on a full-year upgrade plan and
is looking for solutions to improve the car step by step. They are actively
collecting data from the races to identify the areas of improvement. The team
is aware of the shortcomings of the car and is working towards making the
necessary improvements. However, these upgrades cannot be accomplished
overnight, and fans will have to be patient. The Alpine team plans to bring the
first update of the season in Melbourne, where they will aim to score their
first points of the new season. Alpine team Principal Bruno Famin has acknowledged
the excess weight issue with the car and hopes to address it with the upcoming
updates.
