[Saba Sports News] Pakistan has announced their playing XI for the first Test of the home season against Bangladesh, starting on August 21 in Rawalpindi. The squad features a blend of youth and experience.
Shan Masood will continue to lead the Test side, gaining valuable leadership experience. He will be supported by former skipper Babar Azam and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, who will both aim to find their form in the middle order.
Talented players like Saud Shakeel and Abdullah Shafique add depth to the batting lineup. Salman Ali Agha will serve as the sole spinner, while Shaheen Afridi and young pace sensation Naseem Shah spearhead the pace attack.
Pakistan faces injury concerns, with Aamer Jamal ruled out due to back issues. Notably, this will be the first time in 28 years that Pakistan fields a nearly all-pace attack at home, playing at the same venue where they last did so.
