[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports,
the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) will release the VAR
recording of the controversial winning goal in the match between Newcastle and
Arsenal. The reports state that PGMOL has informed Arsenal in advance that the
VAR recording of Newcastle striker Anthony Gordon’s disputed winning goal will
be made available on the Mic’d Up show hosted by Howard Webb, scheduled for
Tuesday. In the match where Newcastle secured a 1-0 victory over Arsenal,
Gordon scored in the 64th minute to give his team the lead. However, the goal
went through three VAR checks. Ultimately, VAR determined that there was no
clear evidence showing the ball had gone out of bounds before Joe Willock’s
cross, and they also concluded that Gabriel Magalhaes was not fouled and Gordon
was not in an offside position. As a result, the goal was deemed valid.
