[Saba Sports News] Once again, the Houston Rockets found themselves in a heated on-court altercation, this time against the Utah Jazz. Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. and Jazz guard Kris Dunn were both ejected before halftime at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
The incident occurred early in the second quarter, with Dunn grabbing Smith’s jersey, prompting a pushback from the Rockets player. This escalated into shoving and swinging between the two players, requiring intervention from teammates and officials. Both Smith and Dunn were ejected from the game.
Despite playing without their top big men in Smith and Alperen Sengun, the Rockets secured a 147-119 victory. Guards Jalen Green and Fred VanVleet combined for 75 points and 17 three-pointers, with VanVleet’s 10 threes nearly matching the Jazz’s team total of 11.
This altercation follows another recent incident involving Dillon Brooks and a six-time All-Star, yet the Rockets have maintained their momentum, extending their winning streak to eight games, the longest active streak in the Western Conference.
