[Saba Sports News] Team India skipper Rohit Sharma and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah recently went viral after taking the 2024 T20 World Cup trophy to the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai.
The visit underscored the significance of India’s victory, their first T20 World Cup win since 2007. The Siddhivinayak Temple, a spiritual hub for celebrities and devotees, hosted a special pooja for the trophy, and photos of the event quickly spread across social media.
India’s triumphant return from Barbados was celebrated nationwide. Currently, the team is on a break following their recent white-ball series against Sri Lanka, where they won the T20I series but lost the ODI series.
After the break, India’s focus will shift to the longer format, starting with a multi-format series against Bangladesh, beginning with two Test matches on September 19.
This will be followed by three T20I matches in October. After facing Bangladesh, India will play against New Zealand before touring Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2024-25, where they’ll aim to secure a third consecutive series win in Australia.
