[Saba Sports News] In the 2024 season, due to a reduction in sponsorship budget by the American multinational computer company Cognizant, Saudi Aramco (Aramco) has seized the opportunity to expand its investment presence, resulting in the renaming of the Aston Martin Racing Team to Aston Martin Saudi Aramco F1 Team. Recent reports from Formula 1 media have revealed that Saudi Aramco intends to acquire Aston Martin Racing in its entirety. It is worth noting that Aramco is controlled by the Saudi state and has already been recognized as the world’s largest company based on market value as of 2022. As Aramco is at the forefront of promoting e-fuel (the zero-emission fuel that F1 will adopt from 2026), the company has long aspired to play a significant role within the Aston Martin team. Their ultimate goal is to enlist the services of renowned designer Adrian Newey and champion driver Max Verstappen, both associated with the team. Rumors suggest that during the Saudi F1 Grand Prix, Saudi Aramco discreetly approached top talents, fueling speculation that they have commenced preparations for the acquisition of the Aston Martin team.
