[Saba Sports News] The Charlotte Hornets have brought a Curry back to their roster, securing veteran NBA guard Seth Curry from the Dallas Mavericks in a trade that took place before the deadline last week. The trade saw forward PJ Washington heading to Dallas, among other elements of the deal.
Seth Curry recently made waves with a memorable photoshoot in Hornets attire, joined by his father, Dell Curry. The Hornets highlighted this moment by posting a video on their X (formerly Twitter) page, showcasing the father and son effortlessly spinning basketballs on their fingers.
Dell Curry is a notable figure in Hornets history, having played for the team from 1988 to 1998.
During his tenure, he was instrumental in the franchise’s early success, including leading them to their first playoff appearance in 1993 and earning the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Award in 1994, with an average of 14.0 points and a 40.5 percent success rate from the three-point line.
Seth, born in Charlotte in 1990 while Dell was playing for the Hornets, is now donning his father’s former No. 30 jersey for the team.
With a career three-point shooting percentage of 43.2 percent, Seth brings his own impressive skills to Charlotte, continuing the Curry legacy in the city.
