[Saba Sports News] Indian pace-bowling ace, Mohammed Shami, has been sidelined and recovering from an Achilles heel injury for nearly nine months. His last appearance was in the 2023 World Cup final, where he finished as the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 24 wickets in seven innings.
Throughout his recovery, Shami has kept fans updated on Instagram with posts about his emotional journey and rigorous training, including strength and conditioning sessions.
However, it was his recent post that truly grabbed attention. Shami shared three photos showcasing a sharp new look, featuring perfectly groomed facial hair and a contemporary spiky hairstyle.
The mirror selfies were taken by renowned Mumbai celebrity stylist Hakim Aalim, who was seen standing behind Shami.
The post sparked a flurry of reactions, with one fan even commenting that Shami looked 20 years younger.
Initially expected to return in the series against Bangladesh, Shami has now been highlighted by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah as a key player for the upcoming tour Down Under.
