[Saba Sports News] Star India batter Shikhar Dhawan announced his retirement from international and domestic cricket on August 24.
Dhawan last played for India in December 2022 against Bangladesh and had since only featured in the IPL, with his final game being against Sunrisers Hyderabad before a shoulder injury sidelined him.
After retiring, Dhawan expressed his openness to new ventures, stating that he aims to create wealth not just for himself but for everyone involved in his projects.
The 38-year-old is considering opportunities in business, entertainment, or even politics. He shared his new vision, saying, “I am God’s instrument, and I’ll follow whatever path He sets for me. I’m focused on achieving success and happiness in everything I do.”
Dhawan also mentioned the possibility of venturing into commentary but emphasized his desire to take on new and bigger challenges. “Commentary is an option, but I want to explore something new. I’m ready to jump high, even if it means risking a fall,” he said.
