[Saba Sports News] Suryakumar Yadav, India’s T20I skipper, celebrated Sarfaraz Khan’s maiden Test century with a special Instagram post, adding a touch of MS Dhoni’s wisdom.
After Sarfaraz’s stellar knock against New Zealand at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Suryakumar shared a picture of him celebrating and captioned it with a famous quote from Dhoni’s biopic,“Duty ke baad roz practice, jitna duty utna practice. Kar paega? [Practice daily after duty, the more duty, the more practice. Can you do it?]”
Sarfaraz’s hundred was crucial for India’s comeback, as he built key partnerships with Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant, helping India set a target of 107 for the BlackCaps. His knock of 150 from 195 balls took his Test average to an impressive 58.33 in just four matches.
Anil Kumble praised Sarfaraz’s street-smart approach, highlighting his ability to put pressure back on the opposition.
Speaking on Jio Cinema, Kumble noted, “He has an aura, is smart, and puts pressure on bowlers right from ball one, especially excelling against spin and using the pace against fast bowlers effectively.”
