[Saba Sports News] Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey, after an impressive 50-point performance against the Indiana Pacers, humbly attributed his success to teammate Kelly Oubre Jr. Leading the Sixers to a 137-126 victory at the Wells Fargo Center, Maxey’s stats included 50 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, and 7 three-pointers, marking the first time a 76ers guard scored 50 points since Allen Iverson.
Maxey, when questioned about his scoring spree, dedicated his outstanding play to Oubre. “This is all Kelly Oubre, man. We’re praying for him. Love my dog. I just met him, but I love him. I hope he gets well soon,” Maxey commented. Oubre had recently been hit by a car near his residence in Central City.
The 76ers team celebrated Maxey’s achievement by sending Oubre a video of Maxey receiving the game ball post-victory. Oubre, before his accident, played eight games with the Sixers, averaging 16.3 points and 5.1 rebounds, and had moved from the bench to start alongside Maxey in the last five games.
