Their aerial stunts, performed after the Indian team’s practice session on Friday, enthralled the crowd with formations that mirrored the precision and thrill of top-level cricket.
The nine-aircraft Surya Kiran team, known for their nationwide performances, displayed their skills with loop manoeuvres, barrel rolls, and intricate sky formations. Their practice session on Sunday, akin to a cricketer’s boundary shots, garnered significant attention on social media.
In the final match, Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bowl, influenced by the dew factor. Indian captain Rohit Sharma had preferred batting first. Australia made it to the final after defeating South Africa, while India topped the group stage and overcame New Zealand in a high-pressure semi-final, marked by Mohammed Shami’s critical breakthroughs and a strong batting performance, leading to a 70-run victory in Mumbai.
